There are six vista editions. One is called Vista Starter Edition and is intended for developing countries. It is limited to run 3 applications at once and limits the memory to 256 MB. When I first heard this, I thought this was a joke. But it is true. I wonder how 3rd world countries will respond to this generous offer. Well now days all you need is just one application – the web browser. So perhaps this is not so restrictive after all. See the Onion for the list of Vista features.
