JVM parameters to enable remote debugging

Here are the Java JVM options to enable remote debugging:

-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=8000

    This is only one variant to run a remote debug.
    If you have the application to debug behind NAT, you may want have it connect to your debugger, not debugger to it. In this case “server=y” is recommended, however I haven’t tried this (ran into your post searching fpr details of such variant of invocation).
